How to use .iPCC files

Use at your own risk.

To use these files to manually update the carrier settings on your device you will have to put iTunes into carrier testing mode. You can do so by running these commands on your system. We’ve also provided files which you can download and run to automate this process. If you do not fell comfortable using these files, feel free to run the commands yourself.

Windows:

Auto-Enable (Click Here, Download and Run file as admin)

Open Command Prompt and run:

"%ProgramFiles%\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1

For 64 bit iTunes install.

"%ProgramFiles(x86)%\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1

For 32 bit iTunes install.

Mac:

defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool YES

After iTunes is Carrier Testing Mode:

  • Download the appropriate file for your device and carrier.
  • Connect your device.
  • Hold down Shift/Command and Press “Check for Update” or “Update”.
  • Choose the .ipcc file.

If you cannot see the file in the file picker.. Change the option from .iPSW to .iPCC. The new carrier settings are now on your device. A reboot maybe needed.
